Jordan Burton / Jburt b.2000 (Columbus, Ohio)
Jordan is a self taught artist from Columbus Ohio who works in paintings, graphic design, character design, illustration, logo designs and clothing designs. He’s been making art since he was a kid but only started taking his works seriously right before graduating high school in 2018. Jordan had his first solo exhibit in 2023 at WIT gallery where he showcased his coloring book and 10 paintings. Jordan works primarily in oil paints on canvas and illustrations in procreate. His artwork is inspired by personal experiences of day to day life based on feelings and mood. Jordan makes a combination of abstract realism and cubism art through figures, he makes a scale look to the skin tone of the figures. Adding different shades of a color using deep hues, brightnesses, and saturations to the scales creating abstract shapes on the skin. Most of his figures are not based on real people, often just made up figures. He blends his style of figures with different articulate clothing pieces with deep shadows and vibrant colors to compliment the skin tone shapes.
